Katie Adelhardt is a child life specialist at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She is working with a 7 year old girl, Dulce, who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and was hoping to have a wig provided for her.
Katie was recommended to Andrew DiSimone at FreeWigsForKids.com. Katie filled out the form for the girl, and attached the only photo they had with her hair in a ponytail. Not long after, the 7 year old, came into the salon with her mom to receive her wig. It was exactly what she wanted: black, straight and long with bangs.
The smile on Dulce’s face was priceless. She was so glad to have hair, and we are so happy that we can help.
